No rain no gain!

Although the weather has not been much fun recently, the garden is just loving all this extra water. Plants that have struggled in recent years have just gone crazy.
These outrageous lilies are a cheery addition to my patio.

Rosa Cream Abundance is living up to its name.

Dianthus looking dandy

Pots of Arctotis keep flowering for months when deadheaded regularly.

Artotis 'Flame'

Fluffy Erigeron have been flowering their socks off.

Salvias and pokers emerge from the foliage of Aconitum.

Rosa 'Paul's Himalayan Musk'

Lychnis coronaria

Here Lychnis is backed by self-seeded Salvias.

Sedums nestle between Stipa tenuissima, which I grew from seed 5 years ago.

Echinops are getting ready to flower between pokers and a climbing rose.

This fennel just appeared, and is now over 6 feet tall!

My lilies are hiding in the background this year.

Poppy Love

Poppies have been more than earning their keep in my garden this past month. I just love them! And they seem to love me back, thanks to my poor, chalky soil.

And even when the flowers have fallen, there's still beauty to be had in the seedheads:

What fantastic plants!
