This garden is an artist's paradise. Both owners are artists as well as gardeners, and all around the garden are the products of their creativity. Starting with their mini Stone Henge.....
This homemade gazebo has mirrored tiles stuck to the ceiling:
Here are some more examples of the owners' artistic flair...
The garden has a rather wild, rugged feel to it, which I admire but would not find easy to adopt.
I loved this flight of steps flanked by bamboo. |
At the garden entrance is a well stocked nursery with some unusual plants for sale. This garden made a welcome change from the Camellia / Rhododendron-heavy gardens which dominate in Cornwall.
What great timing, we are off to Cornwall soon and have Pinsla on our list of possible places to visit. Having seen the eclectic taste of the owners I suspect we will make sure we visit.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time, hope the weather is kind.
DeleteWhat a fabulously different sort of garden. I love the pergola and that wonderful rustic feel to all the garden corners you featured.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed Bernie
DeleteI love to see gardens that reflect the garden's caretakers. Gardens that are copies from a magazine spread or the work of a designer seem to lack soul.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree Mary, some gardens can be over-designed.
DeleteWOW Martin! I love the gazebo with the mirror tiles. That’s a wonderful idea. The bamboo flanked path looks so mystical. It appears to be calling you forward. Another interesting tour!
ReplyDeleteThe bamboo steps are my favourite feature too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Martin, for these beautiful Cornwall posts. Very inspirational. By the way, I do not often comment on your post but I read it regularly.
ReplyDeleteThanks Vesna, nice to know you are reading my blog!
