Alluring Alliums

I'm excited to see all my new Alliums coming into flower in some of the borders. Alliums are such good plants, they take up so little space but have such impact. And I just love their colour, it goes with just about anything. Here are my new babies in all their glory...

  2. They are lovely. I adore alliums, but have noticed that this year, there are fewer than last year. Some have just come up without the flowers. Have you noticed that at all? I guess it is the dry spring, or cold winter?

  4. Hi Alice, yes they are early because of the baking they got in April. Petra, I am pleased to say all my Alliums have flowered - perhaps because they are new - I'll have to see how well they do next year! Alistair - do try them, they can be planted in November at the same time as tulips, and it didn't take me more than an hour to plant 100 bulbs. Go for it!
