This year there seem to be more frogs and newts in the pond. Perhaps with the cold winters we've been having the local wildlfe have been more amorous in an attempt to keep warm...Meet Frodo the Frog and Newton the Newt...
Lucky you, especially having newts in the pond! haven't had much luck having them in our little wildlife pond. We have frogs though, very few spawn survive to adulthood because the goldies there eat them, but without the fish mozzies colonise it.
I am presuming there are more in my pond since I have three times as much frogspawn as normal - it will be standing room only soon!
